Tears on Live Wires

In Your Eyes

With hearts well-traveled
We will meet in hesitation
Shared passions & shared desires
For the love we both require

Love on the horizon
Will focus our vision
There will be no indecision
For hearts so dejected

We must take our chances
For the light that is fading
No matters of opinion
Love without dissension

I see it in your eyes

Tears on live wires
Songs from love’s choir
Longing for twisted desires

You harbor suspicions
Moving in rejection
My feet firmly on the ground

We will meet by diversion
Will it end this aversion?
I will wear these thorns on my crown
And lift the burden from your brow

My heart holds forgiveness
Tick, tock, tick, tock time
Where we are is not where we were
Love has made its decision

I see it in your eyes

Tears on live wires
Songs from love’s choir
Longing for twisted desires

You harbor suspicions
Moving in rejection
My feet firmly on the ground

Motives get distorted
On this mode of communication
Love gets lost in the air
With opinions of destruction

You only hold misapprehension
There will be no intersession
It will end this obsession
And leave us with apprehension

My heart holds forgiveness
Tick, tock, tick, tock time
Where we are is not where we were
Love has made its decision

I see it in your eyes

Tears on live wires
Songs from love’s choir
Longing for twisted desires

You harbor suspicions
Moving in rejection
My feet firmly on the ground

My heart holds forgiveness
Tick, tock, tick, tock time
Where we are is not where we were
Love has made its decision

I see it in your eyes

  1. ‘You harbor suspicions

What wonderful stanzas…chilling and brutally honest..
