Lanterns in the Sky

Under the spell of love’s first blush
Like a shot of an adrenaline rush
We were young, we were strong
Without fear it was wrong

Driving down the coast
Radio playing memories
Of summertime romance
Did we have a chance
When it came to our dance?

It’s not just a teenage love song
On the patio with lanterns in the sky
Our love was just a song away
Sharing a kiss before we said goodbye
