Shadows Take Hold

To the depths of my tears
In broken heart and mind
Her memory haunts me
Searching empty rooms
Grasping lost shadows
For a love that once was

Darkness seeks the light
Light chases lost desires
Desires hide in shadows
Shadows disguise pain
Pain releases darkness

On a sea of lost memories
As darkness surrounds
And shadows take hold
My heart forever remains
