In My Dreams
A twilight sun sinks low on the horizon
Light escapes as shadows creep forth
Clouds tremble in the death throes of day
Eyes pierce the velvet darkness and gloat
Moonbeams dance on the wings of fireflies
The breeze hums a tune hauntingly familiar
Thoughts begin to gather and circle in unison
Moon flowers open, a beacon of white light
A ghostly kiss on cheek, cool and mournful
Fingers dance on electric skin, shivers ripple
Her scent surrounds, sweet, overpowering
Memories shatter the stillness, tears flow
In my dreams she wants me
In my dreams she taunts me
In my dreams she haunts me
In my dreams I am lost to her
